| Did a little work on the tractor today as we were suppose to have storms that never happened. Measured my cutouts needed for the grille and cut them out and temp mounted to the frame. Feeling good enough to go ahead and button down the engine. I still need to sand and paint the other head tins. Also need to find out what size screw the little ones at the bottom are. EDIT: Yes the tread is backwards on the front left. I put the rim on backwards. LOL. | |

| Lookin good for sure. You didn't have to chop off nearly as much as I did have to on the lt130 thankfully eh? IDK if its just the way the picture is taken but the wheel base seems pretty close together. Usually I like mine a little wider but I guess it's just personal preference. | |

| I've actually pushed the front axle out 2 inches. Its those large fronts. Ask @Crazy_Carl about them. They are pretty big! Carl's Ride... Mine... I am also planning using some 2 inch spacers on the rear. It will help those monster rear tires fit better. | |

| LOL maybe not 2" up, but more on the lines of 2" out. I was actually going for a nose up design. With the nose together I can start building my front bumper, getting ideas and see where it takes me. | |

| If that's a pressure lube oppy I wouldn't worry too much about the chassis being raked back like that. Splash lube motors are more picky about how level the crankcase is to ensure oil gets splashed everywhere it needs to go. | |

Nah that's nothing to worry about. Red's MTD had way more nose up and he ran a splash lube opposed with the upper cylinder facing rearwards, it never hurt anything. Worst case scenario add a little more oil than called for to make sure it's always being splashed around. I think the nose up makes some rigs look meaner! Haha. | I was also going to point out Red's. LOL Also another thing to point out. It isn't that much nose up as the pictures show. Some reason my phone is starting to fisheye stuff. Also, I hope I do more than run it up and down the road! Hopefully I have it sideways, pointed way up, then down... just hope not upside down. Edit: I also need to check tire pressure in those tires. I may still have bead setting pressure on them. LOL

Has anyone ever seen inside a splash lubes oppy? This talk makes it sound like it's just a little spur on the end of the crank. But it's actually a very good setup internally There's a mechanism that hold two rotating gears with large paddles on them and it connects to the timing gear drive gear on the crankshaft. It sprays oil everywhere and even if there's not much oil it pulls it up from the bottom .

| It isn't a bad system, but at real low RPMs the upper cylinder and upper crank bearing sometimes don't quite get as much oil as they should. What kind of ground clearance do you have right now? I was curious too so I already have those measures. Front Axle - 12 inches Front Tierod - 10 inches Bottom of frame - 16 inches Transaxle - 9.5 inches Rear Plate - 9 inches | |
