ATLTF needs a FAVICON

Not a big deal, but ATLTF needs a Favicon!  Something that stands out and makes it easy to recognize.  "ATLTF" is too long to put into an icon of that size.  Maybe a logo of sorts?  The guys next door at DIY GoKarts have a logo that is easy to identify.  ATLTF needs one too!

This is something just thrown together.  I haven't thought too much about it and I'm sure someone would have a GREAT idea!

Small 16x16, oldschool favicon.  Also used in address lines and bookmarks.



Note how favicons are not the clearest, so one has to be creative to make a good looking icon or logo.  Think of Facebook or twitter.  They are clear pretty much no matter what size!

If I come up with a better Idea, I'll slap it up.  Anyone have an idea but cannot create one, post the idea and I can try to convey your idea into a graphic.

Another example.  You kind of need both depending on your Content Management System provider. (Not sure what phpBB does, probably insert image in settings)
Some of those systems you upload the 32x32 and it will auto convert where needed to the 16x16.

Cool idea! It would definitely make ATLTF look more professional, rather than the little paper thing that Chrome makes. It'd have to be something that would make you think... "This looks like it's for a website with a bunch of loons that romp tractors"

I remember somebody on here had a little tractor in their signature that looked like it had hydraulics in the front, maybe Craftsman1998? Something like that'd be cool

Yeah, can't be too detailed or when it is in the 16x16 format you just can't tell what it is.

Ive tried making a few. If we get a bunch we can run a poll.

I just noticed, the chatbox has one if you open it in a different tab.

Doug, this question is for you.  Does the forum have a place for it in the settings and what size does it want for the favicon?

Nice to have mightyraze the software developer on board to figure out this sorta thing. Good idea guys.

I like this idea a lot mighty! It makes sense to have some sort of little logo for the site.

Obviously, the simpler the cleaner the icon looks.

Yeah, just showing examples and what works and doesn't. As I mentioned. Less colors and details the better.

What aboot a wrench? On a 45 degree angle. The silhouette of the guy riding the tractor looks good too.
