| The air filter I have on it now is what it came with when I got it. Its an old tecumseh and I'm not sure to put an actual air filter and snorkel. | |

| I'll post the pictures when I get home, Theres a metal adapter thing that comes off the carb as if thee was an filter before. I have yet to find a way to attach anything to it for a snorkel or better air filter. Currently it still has a piece of foam rubber banded to it | |

| Well if you were to weld up an intake you could weld a flange on the end of it to bolt right up to the carb. Or even easier, make a flange that bolts on that you can get a rubber boot on to attach a PVC intake/snorkel | |

| Are the high performance filters worth anything or would an OEM filter do the same job? | |

| wow, that's a snug fit. If you can find a washer somewhere with the inside diameter about the same as the carb bore then you could weld up an elbow and attach whatever you want to it. Would be a pretty tight bend but I guess it wouldn't hurt too bad. I have a sears custom too, I guess it's a pretty tight fit up there but I don't remember. Didn't think it was that bad. Pretty much what craftsmanquad said, either new intake or something on the end of the carb. As far as air filters, probably not a big difference for a stock engine. As long as you don't have something really restrictive. | |

| Could weld up a new intake elbow and get the carb so it doesnt face the grille. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures
