Well I got the video done. Its like 22 minutes long hahaha. We had fun for sure and the MTD performed great! Video should be up soon.

We were down for a couple of hours at least and We both only had to add a little bit of fuel to fill our tanks back up.Not too bad!

Looks like a sweet ride! I really need to get MUTT back together so I can go break some more stuff. I've never had one of those pumps, just a hose and the occasional accidental mouthful of gas. Or I just like pour it in the tank lol.

So when's the skidplate and locked diff and winch coming?

I'm still thinking about the locked differential Rich, definitely wanna make a couple skidplates. But...

Well, the MTD is finally getting a custom exhaust setup! Its about time haha. It's not gonna be anything fancy, just a 1" header going under the footboard into a homemade muffler.

Heres what I got to work with:




Its a fuel tank filler neck from a small car that I got from the shop. It's 1" I.D. with a 1 1/4" I.D. end on it about 2" long. I plan to cut the original muffler pipe on the MTD down a bit and just slide the 1 1/4" end over it and muffler clamp it. I dont have a pipe bender so I'm just gonna cut and weld it to shape, which shouldn't look too bad if I grind down the welds good.
Hopefully I can start on this soon cuz it's about time I got this done! Hahaha

Yeah his was straight piped with the part for the cap left on. It sure made that oppy bark! Hahaha. I'm probably gonna chop that part off on mine though so I can hook it to the muffler.

Well I got a couple small things from Canadian Tire for the MTD today. Its been starting kinda hard lately and it seems like a spark problem so I got a new Champion spark plug for the ol' girl. Also, I finally got an actual choke knob and cable!! About time haha.



Hopefully I'll get these both installed soon. The choke cable is really long, but I'm gonna put it on the right hand side so it's further from the carb. That should take up the slack a bit.

Hey alliskid, how's that mini fuel pump/fill nozzle thing work? Does that have a battery operated electric motor or something? Looks pretty cool.

Actually it's mechanical. Its got a big trigger like the pumps at a gas station, but you have to repeatedly pump it. It does fatigue the had a little bit but it's not too bad. It's lot easier than lifting the entire gas can up and pouring it in hahaha.

Probably less spillage too!

Oh yeah, big time haha. It's pretty handy really.

Where's the fun in not accidentally spilling a little bit of fuel over the battery that's right next to the fuel tank? Makes it interesting!

So when's the uhhhh winch, exhaust, and dana 80s with lockers comin?

I'm thinking our definitions of interesting differ slightly Rich, hahaha.

All I heard was "exhaust" from that last part, so hopefully soon!

Yeah, I'm surprised these thing don't catch fire more often with so much flammable next to heat.

Got my new choke setup installed today! It looks pretty nice on the dash and its way better than the old thing hahaha.






Also I noticed that my steering box was flexing bit becasue there wasn't enough support at the front. So I'm gonna shorten the un-used shaft and make a bracket than bolts to the frame and holds the shaft solid. Hopefully that should work.

So far all I've done is shorten the shaft



Hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow!
