| That's weird that your three countershaft gears are keyed to that shaft, the one in my MTD is a splined shaft. Hmm, must be a slightly different model. Also those shifter gears are supposed to be bevelled like that I think, but the countershaft gears are only bevelled on one side. | Or an earlier model.
Wonder how that destruction unfolded. Shouldn't those shafts be hardened? How do you chowder up a hardened shaft like that?

| I think that's actually a common problem with the older style countershaft. I've heard about it happening a couple different times. | Im probably going to end up welding the gears to the shaft. When it blows, I want complete and total destruction. On another note... here is a crappy picture of the steering box I want to try and procure. Its about as big around as a soup can. | |

| It appears I got the truck steering box trend started. Haha, just kidding. Sweet looking box Beal! What is it gonna go on? | Gall dang! 1000th post! And, its not even about a tractor!!! Made up an axle for the scrapyard minibike. Ran a die over both ends of the axle. Only enough on this side to get the nut flush with the axle, then I welded it. I also had to make some spacers, one on each side. About .8in wide, I had to pry the frame apart ever so slightly to get them in. Tightened all up its perfect as far as Im concerned. Well ok... how about a shot of the "craftsman thing" with the possible tires... Im not really sure how I feel about them... What do you people think? | |

| I think those tires look pretty cool, with the wide ones in the rear and narrow ones in the front. Do you have two of both? | Sure do! The only problem, the rears are pretty rusted. My brother has a needle scaller I think will clean the flaky crap off nicely. Hopefully, they arnt rusted through anywhere.
Frotn and rear have the same 3 bolt pattern.
