| Ok I figured out the pump but now it has no spark. And it has the regular facory key switch but the last owner put an ignition switch in it too it's connected to the positive side of the ignition coil and the other lead for the switch isn't connected to anything. What should it be connected to? | |

Sooo... It has TWO ignition switches? Is there a point to this? Perhaps just remove the redundancy. If you've got no spark, this freakadelic wiring in't doing you any favours at all. | |

| Id suggest rewiring the ignition just to be on the safe side takes a little time but I think itd be worth the effort | |

| As far as I know the second switch that is connected to the positive side of the coil and the other to the negative it should kill the engine shouldn't it? I have no idea on how to rewire an old solid state ignition with the coil before. I could post pictures if you'd like | |

| Well in that website they just have the brass floats. I'm gonna see if I can price a float or just go with a whole new carb | |

| Locate the kill wire coming off the coil (magneto). Disconnect it from what ever it is connected to. Crank engine. Report results. | |

| It's not a magneto it's an ignition coil and it just cranks that's it

| You're going to have to be more specific. By definition, ALL our engine's magnetos ARE ignition coils. Are you trying to tell me it's an external, 12v POWERED coil? If it IS, then bypass everything and hotwire the coil to verify operation. | |

| Yes it is an external single 12v ignition coil and how would I do that? Just hook it up to 12 volts? | |

| Generally. Why don't you post a couple pics showing the coil details, etc. | |
