Where do you guys buy your Transaxles?

where do you get your trannys? i know doug facler got a 820, where did you get it?

Ebay. Pricey though.

I just cruise Craigslist and Kijiji and stuff for local deals. Usually, it's entire tractors, not parts- so you check it out- and if it has a good tranny- bam! Occasionally, you'll find a parts seller locally. I have a couple good contacts for parts now, that I got from chasing ads.

I actually don't have that many trans-axles.  I usually get them in junk mowers that have other problems, but good trannys.

I get like 80% of my parts from the junkyard. 3/4" axles are a dime a dozen there. @ $.35 a wack you CAN'T go wrong. Love that place..... just need another mower.....

thanks, where do you find a peerless 820? a new one on ebay is $260....... nowhere to get them localy, everything goes to china, no junk yards, unles it's my yard
