| So I've been watching alot of fearless's aswell as redneckcomputergeak's videos on YouTube. They have made mention that they've "locked" their front ends, meaning its now solid and unable to pivot. I'm just curious what the benefits to this are over allowing the front axle to pivot? | |

| one benefit would be since they are pulley swapped it handles alot better at the higher speeds without the front axle moving around, another benefit could be less moving parts, less things to wear out and/or break? i personally like my axle to pivot for flex, but shoot a comment on there vids and ask them yourself? they are the ones that are doing it | |

| What red said. Handles better at speed. Personally I think pivot is better, the tires stay on the ground longer. | |

| Ours are unlocked, and I challenge anyone in a handling contest. Your steering geometry is what makes or breaks handling. We do limit the amount it can swivel. Allows both front tires to stay on the ground in a hard corner. | |

| I am redneck computer geek I run it with the stock front end setup its un locked. The cast iron front actually flexes 1 inch higher at the tire then the original press metal front end. As far as locking it Nope never going to happen but I also keep it under 25 | |

| Mines locked with a bolt so its reversable. I always leave it locked though. Helps with the steering if iys stock. You get a lot of frame flex though. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| Thanks for the replies guys! To Maine mud mower do you know why fearless and the mudking have locked their front axles? Better yet could you do me a favor and next time you go on a romp ask him his reasoning behind it? I'd ask through YouTube but I don't have an account to . I appreciate it! | |
