| I just re did my clutch on a mtd lawn tractor and put in a 6 speed trans with a 3 inche pulley and also added a tensionner pulley. but my belt keeps slipping and my belt seams tight enough. what should i do? | |

| Did you put the right size belt? Mtd pulleys are usually 5/8 belt | |

| Take the pulley and rub it with sandpaper to rough it up a little. Maybe that'll help? A rough grip might help. If you put the mower in first with the clutch pushed in does it push easy? | |

| First, 3" is a pretty small pulley to have on the tranny. Slippage is not surprising. Second- did you put the tensioner/clutch on the correct side of the belt? Should be on the slack side, not the drive side. Got pics? | |

| Push the mower with it in first gear and the clutch pushed in to see how mug resistance the tyranny has. Just making sure its not seizing up | |
