Does anyone know how hard it is or would be to change the brass bushings to bearings in a 700? I've heard of people doing it so they don't burn bushings when they speed up the transmission. I figured I probably would need to do that if im planning on going 30mph

Impossible unless you have a machine shop. The journals in the casing need to be machined to a larger diameter.

Race prep it, mount it with a support collar around the input nose. Keep the pulley speed slow (better slower than 1:1) and use a sprocket combination that will give you the speed.

That pulley combination would actually put you smack on the manufacturers specification for maximum input RPM (assuming a 3600RPM engine speed).

Now- I gotta ask- Do you have a 700 yet, or are you still spitballing? I ask because there are a few different high ratios available, so you can't really settle on the math until you have everything.

An honest question is not a dumb question. Nothing wrong with trying to nail down the components as much as you can ahead of time. Just be forewarned that there are some variables you just cannot account for ahead of time.
