just a quick question for all of you

Some great points came up tonight in the chat room about the project rat-whatever Im working on or rather beginning to work on. One question became a nagging one in my mind so I must ask:

Assuming I run the chassis of a golf cart, built up to look like a rat rod tractor but use all mower parts to power it (engine, transmission/transaxle, etc) can it still rightfully be called a rat tractor? Or would it be better served leaving it behind as an off-topic build?

See I can go two ways with this project right now, but once committed - one way would prevent me from ever using the cart chassis again.

One is to do as I mentioned - run mower powertrain to move this thing - and the other is to gut the suspension and mount it to a mower chassis. I just don't know...

For me it would be what the final product looks like.

Run the stock frame, why move parts to another frame if they work perfectly fine already on the stock frame?
