| I think the only one with planetaries is the Limited Slip Diff. Mine is almost identical to an 820 diff complete with the 7/8 stepdown at the diff. | |

| I could be wrong, but look for the geared tractors with 12 inch rims on a keyed shaft. Maybe some 4 bolt hubs. | |

Look for any garden tractors (12 inch rear rims, 8 inch fronts) with an inline shifter like you have in your MST. Any GT with an H pattern shifter IS NOT an 820. Any GT with an inline WILL HAVE an 820

| Is it possible to double (or any ratio) tranny pulley rpms by using a stepped pulley half way between the engine and tranny (as shown in picture)? What problems would be involved with it since it seems too good to be true. | |

| Is it possible. Yes, Mr.Modified is doing something similar on his simplicity. One pitfall I could think of, will the transaxle handle the added RPM's? With the 2" pulleys, may have to deal with belt slip. Also, you figure in where your clutching would be? | |

| Another thing to think about is how much more load would be put on the engine if you increase the ratio that much. It would take a pretty strong power plant. | Not necessarily using those sized pulleys but I'm thinking about doing it just to add speed without getting into really big pulleys (7"+). Wheelhorse C-18 gets just barely gets to 15mph with a 5.5" to 3". Clutching would be done on the tranny side. | |

That's how a vari drive setup works in high gear but yours would be fixed pulleys and called a jackshaft setup. It would be best to clutch the engine belt, because of the stresses of when the clutch grabs is greater then a belt at a constant tension at a lower then 1 to 1 ratio or overdrive condition. The jackshaft would handle the stresses better and is easier to replace parts on the jackshaft then get parts for a transaxle when something breaks. I think 1 to 4 ratio in the pic, you would be doing I think 80 mph, LOL. Jackshaft would be easier to tune in but at a sacrifice of it being taller then a vari drive pulley, but I can see it working.

| Ooooooh I forgot about this. I was coming down off the middle trail into the lower pasture yesterday, saw some deer. I pushed in the clutch and just kinda revved the oppy at em, and they just looked at me funny. Then I threw er in 4th gear and stomped on the gas, then they cared lol. Chased all of em like 1/8 mile down the length off the pasture till they jumped the fence at the other side. Fun, lol. | |

| Finally got a power plant to go in what will hopefully be my 2018 Build-Off tractor. 1986 42 c.i. 18hp opposed Briggs! Should be just perfect, hehehe.
