Anyways, i picked up a 22hp tecumseh v-twin, pressure lube, dual carbs, everything checks out from a visual. I have a cold ATM so i didnt work on it today.



Now, all i need is a Kawasaki, and a kohler v twin. lol

They definately are, my pony had 1 rear end, running stock grease, ranch king had 3 w/ the short/ long axle setup.. And the pony had more abuse. I used to break by slamming it into reverse lol

More of a inspection of this sweet twin. Like i knew, it had dual carbs witch is off the charts cool for me for some reason.






I still dont know what to do with it. I'm going to put a battery to it, ground it, use a screwdriver as a key, and see if the digital hour counter till tell me its story.

Dual Carb-a-Tooties! That's epic man. That warrants some sweet looking paper filters or maybe a couple giant velocity stacks.   

I have a tecumsea 17 hp single with the sane carb you got there. but only one, it is a very strong engine. I bet that thing has a ton of power! where do you get all of these things?

I get them at my junkyard. I usually snatch them up the say I see them or the day after.

No, thats what happens when your frame is cracked and all the pressure is on the axle, the tractor has been through 16 roll overs, pulled many mowers out of the woods (remember, its all up hill on the way out where we romp..)

People crack those axles in half so much. usually with stock turf tires, unlocked.

Heres just one picture off hand of a buddies axle on fb.

I've broke my dad's MTD transaxle four times, turfs, unlocked, good grease, mowing the lawn. I wheighed 150 lbs. I don't think that had anything to do with it.

I'm worried about breaking the Peerless in my Murray. Thinking now about trussing it like the 4X4 guys do their axles. If I have time to come up with a design I'll share it. Even though I could go to the machine shop here at work, I realize not everyone has that luxury. So, I would try to design a truss that can be made out of Hardware Store bought stuff. Anyone want to help? I'm starting with threaded rod...    

I thought a truss would be cool, just welded to the case via tig or mig. Sounds like a good idea tho. I have a 820 for my offroader, so I can get new meaty tires, and not have to worry about breakage.

If you romp hard.. you can break anything lol. If a guy can break a rockwell.. you can break a 820 lol

I don't know what model mine is. Even if I did, it wouldn't mean anything to me since I'm a newb with the peerless dealio. I can guarantee this though: Either I'll look into it before it breaks, or after it breaks.

Its not like is have gobs or torque anyways lol. i have alot less chance of breaking the case anyways

Yea, there one of the strongest vertical input teansaxles I know of. The rear beef is the horizontal inputs

820 are top notch for bottom shaft, but like Redline said, the real beef trannys are the horizontal inputs
