| So I have a toro zero turn, 16hp onan, with twin hydrostats. Bought it years ago. Transmission was in pieces, engine was off, and no deck. Rebuilt the hydro's, and gearsets I found speed it up to about 11mph.
It's actually a lot of fun now, you can do wheelies and spin out pretty good. I was going to mow with it, but never found a deck.
Now we want to make it tracked. The mower is perfect for it, already has the drives, just need to add tracks. Have a couple of large military tires, was going to cut the sidewalls out, and that would be our track. Will have to install sprockets on the transaxles, and chain drive a split axle that is moved back. This will allow us to speed it up some more, and get the weight centered over the tracks. Dan may be over later today, we can take some pics of all the parts. This is a project for spring, will be couple of months before we get moving real fast on it. It needs to be done by June, for our haspin trip.

| Needs to see lots of pics
I want to do this to my big ford, amm currently looking for a set of really big mudders to cut the sidewalls out.
I also thought about using #120 chain and welding plates to it ( it;s been done) a couple of guys have torch cut their own sprockets, and made their own tracks out of steel.

| Please keep us posted. This will be too cool. I've driven a John Deere zero turn and that sucker went about 15 mph. | |

| I had the same idea except i was gonna buy a track kit online for it... I dont have a zero turn to mod though.. Our landscaping business has one and if you push the sticks forward too fast your front end is going up... It went about 14 on pavement up hill! Had 723cc 26 horse power briggs V-Twin | |

That's just an adjustment problem. You can adjust the linkages and get them to track straight. I'm hoping this happens in the spring, but honestly, it's not a priority. Have to fix a van, two trucks, sell stuff, work on house, and get tractors ready for haspin.

| I think the technical term would be 2nd cousin by marriage... We share an Uncle, Aunt, and some cousins.
We've been hanging out since high school. We live about 20 minutes from each other. Our families (us, wives, and kids) camp together each summer, and get together for activities like LAN parties and airsoft.
So... close enough. | |

| Maybe you can borrow it... you'll have to come out and drive it home (we'll keep your vehicle as collateral) | |

| He may be better looking, if you go for the older, grayer gentleman.
There is a third member, Chris, he is temporary out of action due to marriage. He helps when he is allowed.
Also my son, 15, is involved. And our haspin/tractor party friend Jordon has a tractor, and helps out some.

There's a place near me that has mini tanks with paintball guns mounted on them. It looks fun but its hugely expensive. - Tank-Trax Website wrote:
