Just fyi... Friday I was home. Saturday I was in Norwalk, OH, Then I just got back home 20 minutes ago. Driving... phew... On top of that, got a new roof on the house, still need the gutters replaced and our back porch cover. Then on top of that, I was fielding questions friday and need to attend a meeting tomorrow on my scheduled time off! The time will de deducted from my time off. Getting some of that back. Yay.

i got to tearing down that 382cc cub engine and the crank is perfect but it seized the rod so imma get a rebuild kit it really seems like a solidly built little motor for revving the snot outta it, but I also scored 3 generac 27hp motors to build possibly 2 good ones one has "excessive" crank play and wipes sump seals out quickly and one dropped a valve and one looks to mabye have a shattered cylinder??

Might recheck your years. :-) Looks like a 92-93 to me.
Can tell by the headlights its either an '88 or '89. In 1990 they went to the composite 1 piece upper headlights. In 1994 they refreshed the grille. 95 got a new interior, 96 got "spider" fuel injection, 1997 got a passenger airbag, and 1998/99 "classic" got a new steering wheel.

And who exactly cares enough about Generic Motors products to know all that? Other than thee? Talk about the most cookie cutter trucks ever made. I don't think they had the cool disappearing body panels like the older ones though. That was a pretty unique factory option, and the best part was it didn't even cost more. They all had it! The 90s trucks do have the horrible front suspension, though.

Good catch, didn't even realize they were individual lights when I responded. My dad's 92 was a pretty hot number. I could burn rubber in all the gears. Had a 350 in it, long bed. I had to drive it for about 4 months while my 99 mustang was in the shop waiting for parts to get repaired. New body style, no parts. Hadn't had it 5 months and I was rear ended by a truck hauling a boat. I was stopped to make a turn and he nailed me doing 45-50. Hard enough my seat back broke off and I ended up in the back seat and his front tag left the number impression in my rear bumper. Anyways, it was a fun time even though the circumstance driving hit pickup.

It's an 88 350 sm465 4x4 with a limited slip rear end I LOVE the independent front suspension on Chevy trucks it's just not desirable if you wanna lift it more then a few inches or do heavy off-road but it will stand up well stock or modified. And really they are kinda cookie cutter but I've never seen a bad looking obs chev. I'm convertinb my truck to a 95 grille with aftermarket headlights and a 93 ish seat and I'm doing a bunch of little mods but I LOVE obs Chevy's in my opinion they are the greatest Chevy truck ever built or even id verge to say best truck ever they are a wonderful platform and comfortable and do anything anytime

They're good trucks. I just love bashing GM.

Ugh... getting harder and harder to find a horizontal opposed twin in my area. :-(
I am also coming to the conclusion that people in my area don't seem to list things on marketplace anymore. They ditched craigslist well before covid. What's that latest place to find stuff.

Hey Mighty, I'll sell you mine. I was going to pull it to put in a thrust bearing, but I'd rather just throw in a predator 459 or 420.
