I took my Honda Z50 to the trails to do some scouting, I was sure there was more to the single track trail Jace and I had been on but we had been out for awhile anyways so we took the logging road out to the main trail. I ended up starting where he and I had left off and it didn't take me too long to find the other side of it, start clearing stuff out of the way and start following it. Now, technically this trail is closed (as I learned today) and probably has been for a long time so there's alot of stuff on the trails and several trees across it too, not to mention the several logging areas/roads that make it difficult to get through and find the other side but I got alot done, covered alot of ground, and made a couple bypasses to get around some nasty stuff. Here's a map showing the trail(s):
Red - closed trails. Green - main, double wide trails
As you see I did some labeling on the map, now for an explanation. The section from the main trail to 1 I explored and it's pretty easy going aside from some raspberry bushes and a couple of downed trees that need to be moved, that section all the way up to the "Tractor Trap" (Just before 2) is a easy to moderate ride and great for people new to the sport to get familiar with their machines. The "Tractor Trap" is pretty extreme and the sand hill climb after is also difficult but I found a nice rest area at 2 just at the start of the next section of trail that will be a great pit stop. From 2 to 3 is moderate to intermediate with a couple of hills to climb and descend plus another section of logging road that is going to need a little bit of finessing to make more passable, there's another good rest stop area just beyond that at the start of the next section. By the time you get to 3 it's an absolute logging disaster and completely impossible to get through so I made and marked (with orange ribbon) another bypass that gets us to the end of what I could find of the trail which happens to be close to a main trail.
When I got home I looked up the trail map because I knew there had to be more single track beyond it and I was right! There's quite a bit more actually which is hopefully good news, that depends on how good or bad it is! Lol. I figure that once the trail was clear and if you ride from the main all the way to 3 with a couple of 10-15 minute breaks you're probably looking at 2.5-3 hours of riding so that's awesome right!?
I'm looking forward to getting back out there with tractors and gear to ride and get the trails more rideable!

Got another craftsman to build came with snowerblower deck front bumper and weights for 75 bucks. Has 18hp oppy and peerless 820 6 speed that I can't wait to lock but doing research on the best way to do it since I don't want to mess it up at all. All I did was clean out the gas tank from old gas, replace part of the line put a battery in it, lubed the starter, cleaned air filter, add half a quart of oil and front tires she runs perfect belt was even good

That's a good tractor to start with there, pretty much what Mutt started as.
That whole trans is plastic isn't it. Yikes. Although if all it does is mow . . .
Yes it's all plastic, the wheels weigh more than the trans. Could basically lift it up with one hand. Even broke a tab off when disassembling the thing but JB welded it back on.
It felt so flimsy that I was afraid of breaking everything the whole time.
Have seen Husqvarna making all plastic carburettors for a while and while not good practice original replacements are really cheap. This gear however is not a cheap thing to replace so I don't really get it.
Sorry been MIA a lot lately. Other life has gotten in the way.
This line was broken in 2 places. We fixed the first part. Next day we found out about the second part. We have a patch piece in for the second part till tomorrow. Our one pipe piece we had was a little short. Didn't know if it would work or not. After a few hours it started weaping a little so not. I have right sized piece now, so we'll knock that out tomorrow morning.

Talk about a week.
Monday, waterline break one. Tuesday, waterline break 2 Friday, right front brake hung up on the van and needed a tow from the other side of the city, approx. 35 miles. Should be a fairly easy fix.
Then today, Saturday, our oldest dog passed on. You can see him star in many of my video's following me around then retreating. This was expected, so it wasn't a snuck up on us thing.
Needless to say, I'm a bit worn out. My tomorrow plans are to finally fill in the hole the rest of the way from the water leak.
So far, my back has held up. Thankfully, I was able to dig 90% of the hole with the old 9N and a 3pt scoop.

Man I hate working on water lines. Seems like just when you have them fixed, something else pops up. At least you and I are fortunate enough to have a backhoe
Sorry about your dog Mighty. At least you know he was loved.
Got my three wheeler finished up after a resto-mod project that started back in 2017. Finished it back in may, but don’t like getting it dirty anymore lol. Second pic is what I started with

ones with the * on them I have pretty much met almost all the rules to be complete. Only 2 are 100% considered complete at this time. Those have claimed complete, the others I'm waiting for them to announce.
