Off topic anything 2021 Edition!

Actually a nice one here.  Cool, but not "cold".  Especially nice after 50mph wind gusts for the past couple days.

We got some up here. Slick as all get out...it rained a bit last night and then we got 2” of lake effect. And I fried a belt so I can’t blow it off yet

I'm trying to have my "rally car" ready for whenever the next snow is here in NJ. Last time it snowed, my car wasn't registered and I couldn't go out for a drive in it. Took my motorcycle out tho...and fell over.

Saw this Allis chalmers for sale on FB marketplace for $150 and it's got a nice hood. But right now I have like 3 lawn mowers stuffed in the garage so... I really shouldn't be buying any more stuff.

Is that a B110? I’m more of a Deere guy, but the old Allis rigs looked pretty nice. Nice find there, it looks like it’s in good shape!

That Allis would be a 608 or a 610, I've always liked those little tractors. Looks like a real nice one!

The B series are older and painted yellow instead of orange. Just like this one of mine

Ohh man...now I’m jealous Nice rig there! That is in very good shape for its age.

Well I think I'm a tad late to the party but as far as how the year is going for everyone, the last 20 or so days of 2020 was freaking terrible for various reasons, loosing someone, not going to get into too many specifics, but several of you know what happened.  

This year though has been very different, and for various reasons that I don't want to publicly disclose, my mental health has been considerably better lately.  If any of you are friends with me on Facebook message me and I'll explain if you're curious.

My Mitsubishi should be running and driving tomorrow, waiting on one part.  It will run and drive now but not reliably enough to actually go attempt to shred a pasture.  

Fun fact, it was illegally imported into the US in the mid 90s and sold in the grey market.  

I feel like I'm peetering farther and farther away from working on mowers, and it really sucks.  I just can't find any motivation other than the ones I fix and flip.  I have a 4 wheeler and now a full size tractor, it kinda just takes away the need for mowers.  Hopefully I can find enthusiasm in one of my projects soon.

If you can make it to a group ride, literally any off road park with some other mower guys, that spark will reignite. I’ve been focused on work and all my cars lately, but when @redzz02 asked me to come out to Ohio to ride with that group I dropped everything, got the mk2 tuned up and ready to ride, and had an absolute blast. Now I’m planning more mower builds than cars...and I plan a LOT of car builds...

Yeah sometimes you just have stuff going on you know. It's not so bad to take a break on certain things for awhile so you don't get burned out on it.

Aye.... Saw a murray much like @Murraymountain 's today for free. No holds and first come. It was on the other side of the city. I caught the ad within 30 minutes. It will take 40 minutes to get there. I went for it.....

I feel your pain. 2 or so weeks ago I found a 140 h3 John Deere for sale. 4 new tires, hood wasn’t smashed, low rust. Guy was asking a mostly reasonable price... the next day I went to make an offer and it was sold.  Maybe I’ll find one someday....

Also I got really good luck today. My mother got her first dose of the COVID vaccine and my grandfather has an appointment made as well. I am very, very grateful.

Hey Mighty, what photo browser thingy did you use for the photo comp? Servimg seems to be corrupting my photo resolution. I feel like it's giving me an unfair disadvantage.

I'm using the servimg for hosting.  What file format you using?  PM me the image and I can see what is going on.  I've not had scaling issues.

Not sure if anyone has seen it, but I'm giving our Canadian Brothers and Sisters some love in the random header department.  

On another note, for some reason sometimes my iPad gets this delay in typing but it only seems to happen on here. Any ideas? I know very little about technology.

I use an iPad too on the site half the time and not seen it. I’ll keep an eye out though.

Today I found out that popular mechanics is apparently cancelling the print version in March.  I am very disappointed to see it go.

I'm running it to the same issue. Started the 2nd week of January for me. I have a Samsung Galaxy A11 though. Only happens on this site.

I think the provider is having issues with their image host.  They seem to be doing a lot of backend updates without telling lately.  I could be wrong. I know back in the second week of Jan Servimg was having issues.  We can't jump ship from the host as we would lose everything.  The previous owners of the site probably chose here because it was free.  The host in the terms and conditions "OWNS" the database so we can't backup our data and move.

Cleaned my workspace yesterday. I didn’t realize just how much spray paint I had bought recently until I took a look at it all... there must have been at least 75 dollars in paint there. Ouch. But, I will be able to paint my fabrication projects any color I want now!

Edit: got stuck again cleaning out 2 more feet here. I think at this point I have been towed 4 or 5 times this season. Evidently the groundhog placed emphasis on 6 more weeks of winter lol. Chains and blacktop don’t seem to play well together without a metric ton of weight it seems.
