Hello everyone! Im new here and looking to give new ideas as well as learning some!

Hey all!! I'm new here and just recently finished building my first mower and look forward to building more in the near future. I was always interested in building one since i was a kid and recently got the right opportunity to FINALLY get one going! I live in Canada about near Toronto so if there are any riders around let me know I'd love to go for a romp and get to know some of you, thanks. ill try to post some pics of my build and if you have any questions feel free to message me.

Welcome to the forum! Looks like you got a real neat setup going on, very clean build. She running a Tecumseh engine?

Thanks! I still have some tweaks here and there to finalize on it but its pretty much done for the most part. Yes its running the original Tecumseh engine and figured it would be ok to start with cuz it has low hours, wish i could find performance parts for it

Wow! Nice build! I was hoping I would see a Tecumseh under there! A lot of people love to hate on Tecumseh engines, (especially Enduros), but they're actually pretty decent engines when tuned right as I'm sure you know. I'll bet it makes some power!

Thanks! Ya its definitely a thumper its got more than enough power for what I'm doing, just having some carb tuning issues with the Mikuni but the throttle response is really good. does any one know off the top of there head how many cc's these engines have?

My guess is 450-500cc range. Welcome to the forum!

Wow, that’s a lot smaller than the same HP briggs Flathead. That’s where my estimation came from

What carb is that your running? Got a link or something to it online?

Its a 26mm Mikuni carb you can find them on Amazon or ebay and they are relatively cheap for the hp gain and throttle response you get its great no messy throttle linkages. I'm actually upgrading to a 28mm carb just waiting on it to come in.

Not sure if a 28 would be an upgrade. Kinda depends upon what you want to do with it. Over-carbing might end up with lost bottom-end and overall driveability but scream like a banshee at the top.

Oh ok good to know, I mean Ill try it for testing purposes to see how it performs and worst case scenario I can go back to the 26mm which i know works
