Well, the first run didn't go to plan as you saw. I picked up a new flywheel key today and a few other things. I was in Asheville all day today so no work got done. Hopefully I can get a bunch done tomorrow... I expect this motor to be done very soon!

- Mount/install pull start - OHV gasket - Spark plug - Build/mount air box - Air filter - Jet/rebuild the carb - Install throttle cable (Can't really do anything there until it's actually on the tractor) - Install choke linkage - Install under-shroud LIGHT - Install engine pulley - Zip tie gas lines and wires out of the way - Clear coat muffler - Paint snorkel - Muffler heat shield - Intake splash guard
I don't know why but I get all happy inside when I look at that list... There's just a litsle tinsi bit left! LOL.
Anyway, SHE'S A RUNNIN!
Here's my snorkel setup...
Should work pretty well. I'm gonna keep an eye on it to see if I need to make any changes though.
The new muffler heat shield...
I cut it out of this MTD hood and then bent it to the shape I wanted...
All nice and installed...
Here's the intake splash guard... I wanted something very clear so the filter is visible, so I used part of a strawberry container... LOL.
This thing is just about there!

Got some sad news guys... I'm pulling out of the build-off. I don't have to, but there is no way I can make the deadline and have the mower I want. After experiencing how brutal Rockcrusher Farm was on the MM, and knowing that Haspin will be worse, I have to go all out with this thing. And I want as much of the build to documented in the actual thread as possible. There is just too much work to do before the end of the year to enjoy building it, so I will be continuing the build in the original thread. But know this, by dropping out of the BO, it will be riding on IFS the next time it moves under it's own power!
Yes it is. I really just need more time than what the build-off allows and at the moment I need to put the build on hold for a little while. So yes I'm pulling out.
