[Withdrawn][2020 Build-Off Entry] Bear's beast

This is a 67 ford 100 made by Jacobsen. It is going to be a trail rig on 27 or 28 inch rear tires with a locked transaxle. It will have a mild built 6.5 predator hopefully will make about 10 hp.

What tires you have in mind? Peerless 2300 series in the rear? Big tires like that will be a sweet stance.

I believe it is a 2300 i haven't found the tag yet. I don't have a clue on tires yet just looking for something aggressive.

Yeah should be a Peerless 2300 with left hand input.

Nice entry, those old Ford's are cool tractors. Looking forward to seeing this one!

Well i tried taking whatever this is off the transaxle but im stumped. Anyone have any idea how to take this off.

That's the reverser gearbox to get the shaft turning the correct direction, there's a small chance the inner shaft in seized in place if it won't budge with the bolts removed.

That's what i thought it was but wasn't sure. For what i want to do i need it removed. Could i spray brake clean in then fill it with blaster or coke or something?

Yeah some penetrating oil might help, also maybe see if that Welch plug in the end will come out. Just be real careful with that thing, they are really hard to come by if you accidentally break it.

So i got the reverse drive off. Whoever decided to do the stupid external clip but make it impossible to reach i hope everything they work on has them on everything. Progress is going to be slow right now trying to buy a house and dont want to move 1000s of parts.

I forgot I was even in the competition with all the chaos going on it escaped me. However I have been working during this time off I stripped the mower down to prep for paint while I'm waiting for the parts I need to come back into stock.

As of the last month I've been trying to flip a tractor to fund a new engine for the beast. I have decided not to use the predator because I need a charging system to run the accessories i want and don't want to put one one the predator and still have it be pull start.
