2020 Build-Off Discussion

Year 7 Build-Off starts February 1, 2020!

Id like to attempt one more year but 1st gotta see if i can bring something cool to the table. Really had fun with this years build.

I may actually enter this year with the old mtd garden tractor that I have

I'll enter the old monkey wards I guess.

I'm in. I have my old wheel horse speed build needing a whole new redesign from the frame out. Just a shell with a front axle right now. now to see if I can remember how to post pics... before when it was complete awaiting shakedown circa 2015:

Thinking i might throw my hat in the ring this year ! Lord knows i've got more than enough to work with. and a few ideas running through my head !

I should re-enter mud rat just to get motivated to work on it again. It’s no where near 50 percent

yeah you never sold it? I would just use it as motivation to get it done.... I mean you pretty much have a year and no one will really pay what it is worth....

I am gonna go in with this cub cadet puller project that I have been putting off forever.....

I would like to enter this next year, and I may still, but I need to get some home projects done this year! I have some hot-rod ideas, AK's rat-rod is nice so I don't think I would want to follow in his toes.

Yeah, lots of ideas here too. I have frames and engines to work with. Yikes!

@MightyRaze got two TTC builds on the way, got a diesel build that’s been in the works..... tempting

Ya know people are diesel crazy.... I bet it would win. LOL

Told you I had winners especially when you have a turbo to match

Have to figure out how to 1up a diesel, maybe jet powered, or nitrous.

Hmm... the air? Flying lawn tractors... eh, no. Jumping is all the air they need.

Y'know, I might just enter a build this year. Of course, it's not gonna be as built as the MM, but it won't be stressful like last year. We'll see what happens...

@Jeremiah R. Cooper don’t really think that’s plausible with a single cylinder

@redzz02 sure it is. Your only powering 2 transaxles. Turbo charging is may be enough.

This is just a suggestion -

How about for the 2020 year we drop all the rules on what we can and can't  use, and just have a couple of guidelines that have to be meet to be entered as a finalist.

Kinda like this-
1. A lawn tractor or garden tractor body must be used.
2. Steering wheel and tractor seat retained.
3. Wheelbase limitations  (like 72in long x48 wide)-just an example.
4. Run, drive,and stop.



It's just a suggestion but I'd think it would bring more builders to the build off and more people to the site.
