AH.. ok. Wasn't you then. Yeah that would be funny. I stayed the night pretty close to Rich at Lake Malone. I think it's about 30 min from him. I contemplated saying HI, but I had couple things against me. 1) When I came through was about noon. Figured Rich was in school. 2) I felt kinda creepter, a 44 y/o with his family looking for a 17 y/o. I dunno, could be overthinking that last one. My oldest daughter is less than 2 years younger. HAHA.

Yeah lake malone is like 20min away. I go there sometimes in the summer for a swim. If you're talking about the guy on the corner of 106 the other road I can't remember the name of like ¾ of a mile outside of Lewisburg, I've gotten some stuff from him. The GT6K came from him, Mutt's fenders, Mutt's rear rims, and a bunch of other stuff i can't remember. He has FB, I can shoot you his name if ever you wanna talk to him to see if he has anything.

Lol that's funny. I'm good. Bit far for me. I'm home now.

Ah. So the past few weeks I've been working on making a live center for my lathe. A few weeks ago I turned the MT2 shank with the offset tailstock method.


Friday I finally got some 2" material and I finished up the spinning part.

I’ve been there. Grandma wasn’t too happy

Dad normally doesn't like that, but actually, for once it really wasn't me . Hopefully it gets washed today.

So here in Texas, we just had some laws change and stuff, so now I need to have a hunter's safety course in order to hunt. So I thought, okay, no biggie, I'll do it. So on the 13th I did the online portion, and on the 19th I did the field day, passed in the top of the class, everything's perfect. They told me that by the 23rd, my certificate will be on Texas Parks and Wildlife's website, and I can print it out and be legal. Deer season starts the 26th at sunrise.

It wasn't up on the 23rd, so on the 24th (yesterday), I called their customer service at 9:00 am. The person there was like, okay yeah lemme transfer you to my manager. Manager said "I'll call you back later".

At about 4:45 PM I call them back, and the guy who answered was the guy I initially talked to. He said his manager had gone home for the day, and he couldn't really help me. So then he said "here, call this number". I said, "Okay, and who is that?" He was like, "Oh, well he can help you."

So I called them at about 4:55. Was on hold for a bit, then I got to talk to someone. After a few minutes, I found out he had literally given me the number to the Canandian hunter's ed customer service! So I call back the Texas one at about 5:05 PM, only to find out they're now closed, and this guy basically wanted to get rid of me so he can go home.

So I contact my hunter's ed instructor, he knows the head guy at Texas Parks and Wildlife, the head guy emails me and says that he did some looking into their database, and they somehow lost my info. LOL. He said the issue should be fixed early today, and he was going to be out of the office today.

Well it's still not fixed. LOL. I still don't have my certificate, but I do have a bunch of emails from various people saying I did pass. A cold front came through today, it rained all last night, it's supposed to rain all tonight and clear up about an hour before I go out, if you guys aren't hunters, that's perfect weather to be deer hunting. Since the law technically just says I need to have proof I passed it, I'm like, screw it I'm hunting in the morning.

The funniest part is apparently 90% of hunters who need to take the course are never going to do so, and they'll just hunt without it, because it's not required to get a license. Here I am, trying my dardest to get it done, and it's basically impossible. LOL. Nice to see our tax dollars going to a good place.

Either way, just a bit of a funny frustrating story, and I wanted to vent a little bit.

Haha damn that sucks. I haven’t shot one this year, but my 13 year old brother just shot a 6 point here in Indiana with his bow and a 13 pointer down in Kentucky during youth season with his rifle on a friends farm. He’s already had a helluva year and it’s basically still the pre season lmao

Fired up the truck... hey no head lights. Cool cool. Mash the dimmer switch... hey I got high beams!

I was told it was probably the dimmer switch, so I peeled back the carpet to get at it. What do I find under the carpet???? MOISTURE! IIIIEEEEEEEEAAAHHHHGGGG! I was planning on doing it at some point, but I need to replace the seals around the doors and windows. Also gona take the seat out, carpet out and maybe slap down some kind of paint down. Some kind of sound deadening and bed liner.

Hang the carpet up on the wall somewhere to keep it nice.

But I found the plug to the dimmer switch had melted to one of the contacts for the switch. Im gona see about liberating the plug from my plow truck and splicing it in my nice truck.

Sounds like ya got it figured out.  Man I miss hi/low switches on the floor.

Im pretty happy with it, still needs lots here and there, but it turns heads rumbling down the road!

Plane contrails.  Heat and compressed air from the engines cause condensate making the trail.

Yep! They way to tell the difference between contrails and chem trails: If it's a contrail, you should (if it's low enough) be able to see the plane doing it, and it should disappear within 1-2 minutes. A chem trail doesn't disappear. It goes wherever the wind takes it. See how they're kinda spread out, that indicates it being a chem trail. The more spread out it becomes, and the longer it sits there, the more likely it is to be a chem trail.

Also look for a definitive start and end for the trail

Eh, if any of you guys know me well enough, you know that I believe in a number of what have been dubbed conspiracy theories about our government. But to be honest, I don't think they're any evidence that shows that chemtrails are real, and it's not just a contrail affected by the weather.

For one thing, I'm near Ft. Hood, and they do maneuvers over my ranch on a weekly basis. In the summertime when it's over 100, contrails last a few seconds. Fall and wintertime when it's in the 30s or 40s, like now, they last much longer, sometimes for hours.

The other thing that leads me to not think that's real is crop dusting. It's a very similar thing to chemtrails, however, the pesticide disperses very quickly. I would assume that any substance the government would want to be spraying on us would do the same, and at the very least would not stay in one place for hours.
