This is my 73' Wheel Horse Project AKA Wheelin Horse. My dad bought a new 1975 c-120 which is pert near identical and this one brings back the feels of being a kid on Ohio and riding one of these beasts all summer. When I saw it online for sale I knew i had to make the drive to Southern VA to pick it up off a kid who couldnt get it running and had the poor ole tractor sitting out in the dirt. As soon as it was in the truck and on the way home, I knew it would be my new perma-friend on the trails of NC. Now on to the Project..
On the tow strap right outta the truck haha
My helper
Carb and fuel pump cleaned and reinstalled
Points cover blasted and gasket made
Clutch pulley removed and ready to test on my home trails:
Shes a cruiser
New vinyl made by my lovely wife for the project
Picked up some tires, just had to dismount them and should have them on this week. Ill post up pics with them on ASAP
Cheers!

She's a nice ol' Horse for sure, I imagine it's a great rig on the trails. Great looking build!
Also I just wanted to say that I think it's super awesome you kept the original engine in the old girl, that doesn't happen nearly as often as it should, haha. I know Carl kept the original K-181 in his C-81 off-roader and I kept the K241 in a JD 110 I put together for my cousin to wheel with.
Looking forward to seeing 'er with the new paws!

Thanks y'all! I plan on keeping the k301 heart for as long as I can keep it trucking. It running like a fine oiled sewing machine so years to come it looks like!
Heres a vid I just uploaded for you all from back in late June

That is one nice sounding Kohler. I'm really starting to like the sounds of them. I'm kind of wishing I could find one to put in my re-powered suburban. Wouldn't mind putting some old iron back in it.

Yes! Another wheel horse on the forum! I'd keep the kohler on there forever. They never die. The one on my deere is really worn out and burns oil like crazy but shes still kickin.

Yeah the K321 in my Case knocked and burned oil pretty bad a couple years ago before the re-bore/re-build, but I tell ya she always started and ran great! Hahaha.
