My name is James and love tinkering around with mowers. I have my own lawn business for years and been flipping some mowers in my slower times. I’m not much into mud being we don’t have much here but like to hit the trails and explore so thinking on building a mild trail type machine. Poking around the internet looking for ideas I ran across this forum and looks great for ideas and learning from others.

Welcome! Trail machines are really fun to build. What kind of tractors do you commonly come across when you flip tractors?

Thanks for the welcome. In my area there are a lot of Murray wide bodies, craftsman’s, troybilt and John Deere. I tend to make more of a profit with the craftsman’s with hydro trans in it. The manual trans mowers are going dirt cheap because everyone wants the smoothness of the autos. I personally don’t like autos and have a abundance of manuals. Have a half done race mower I been working on but don’t have a track around to run it on. This is why I’ve decided to build some trail type mowers to play around with. I am amazed by some of the creative builds I’ve seen on this site by the members. Gives me so many ideas.

Thanks. I have a vintage mower that I would like to post some pics of to see if anyone can give some info on it. Which section would I post something like that in. Looks to be an rare Dynamark that I can’t find any info on....not even a similar picture.

Either the "Off-Topic Project Builds" or the "General Tractor Talk" section would probably be okay!
