| Belt worn out? When the wheels stop look and see if the fan/pulley on the top of the transmission is still spinning fast. If it is you have pump trouble. If it slows down considerably or stops the belt is slipping. | |

| hydro trannys are bad for speed. they like to blow lines and stuff because they cant handle the extra speed. i dont remeber exactly why cuz iv never had a hydro but im sure someone on here will explain it better for you.

| 820s are the ones with one inch axles. so yea prolly the toughest u can find. make sure ur rims arent for 5/8 or 3/4 what ever the smaller size axle that most other trannys are | |

| and i agree with carrow sounds like ur just missing the axle key. if youve ever taken your tires on and off and didnt know they where there they would easly fall out and go in the grass or somethin | |

It won't be a hole, it will be a long slit down the axle shaft( i think it's about 1/4" wide). I've worked on many new and old craftsmands and they all have had them. Can you take pictures of the shaft?

Yeah.., I see the keyway clear as day. The keys are very easy to lose, I've done it lots of times.

| sometimes they stick in the wheel, sometimes they squirt out when you put the wheel back on. usually the pop out the end and the wheel sticks half way on. easy to forget to put back in too |

| ya the keyway is that grove down the axle. your rim will also have a keyway. you line up the 2 keyways and slide the rim on. thats keystock you just cut it to fit if u cant get precut pieces. normally come in one foot pieces but a hardware store or mower repair store will prolly have them the right size | |
