Going to be working on the drive pulley swap, was gonna use the pulley from an old Spicer T-axle but it won't work, the belt groove is too flat but I did manage to find another one almost half the size but it does have the correct"v" groove and it appears to be twice the size of the stock pulley. Going to try and work on it at work either today or tomorrow. (Hopefully I'll find a larger one at work today)

I finally got the pulleys swapped, not as big as I would have liked but it's what I had on hand so it'll have to do. Hoping to get at least 10 mph. The stock pulley was a 4 1/2" now it's a 6 1/2".

You'll get 10 for sure depending on the size of the transaxle pulley. A 6" on the rear would pretty much put you at a 1:1 ratio, so it's beyond me if you don't get 10.

On my Craftsman GT I went from a 4 to a 6 in the front and had stock rear pulley and I got about 12.

I've never owned a 2300. What kind of imput shaft do they have?

Keeping the stock T-axle pulley, at least for now.

Sorry everyone but it looks as though I am officially out of the build off as I went to do an update video Saturday and something is wrong with the electrical system. Not sure if it's the starter or the ignition solenoid (not the starter solenoid). Money is very tight right now so won't be able to fix it anytime soon but will do updates on it when I can but as a regular build.

I'll keep your thread here until the end.  Maybe something will come up and you can get it functional.  I understand where you are.  I'll move the machine over to the builds section in the end.  

Oct starts next week leading us into the final 60 days.  I won't be putting anyone in "probation" unless they have not since August 1 for the final stretch.

Fixed the possible issue of the IFS folding and also got all the steering rods lifted and tucked, built a custom steering mechanism similar to the ones used on racing mowers. Also built the lift blocks for the rear so now I won't get my fingers cut off between the tires and fenders
