Brought the steering to school, drilled the holes out to 15/16" and started making some bushings. Only had hex stock to make the bushings so that's what I'm using.

Tooth engagement with new bushings. Shouldnt even have to weld up the teeth

Got the steering back in and working

When that steering isn't all worn out to death it looks nice.  About two turns lock to lock.  I like that.  Looks like the enginerds were just trying to impress the customers on the sears showroom floor.  They didn't care if the steering didn't last a good long time.

Probably a scheme to get customers to keep coming back to buy bushings or pay to get it fixed lol.

Got sidetracked from whatever else I was doing and welded an engine plate on this garbage



How am I supposed to run a belt through this junk?

Cut off the linkage arm that’s in the road and put it right next to the frame so that it’s inline with the clutch instead of catty whompus to it

make the rods like they clear a belt!

Just got these 25x10-12 Titan tires for $20. Used, but in good condition and still have a good ¾-⅞" tread on them.




As to anything else on this build? No progress. Have yet to put an oppy together or find any reasonably sized engine for it.

Nice bushings. What size barstock is that? I am slightly jealous... not because you made the bushings, but Id love to have some brass bar like that in the 1in-1.5in range...

Those tires gona be fronts or rears?

Rears lol. I'm not against putting something like 23s on the front though

A V8 swap would be lit af.........

why not gettin 1 of those Generator V twins? (LAWN GONE has 2 of them) they have 40HP

What Pulley Ratio do U plan?

Whatever i can find. It has an 1-⅛ shaft so that should be interesting
