winched this hoopty into the truck flat tires and chains on it, worked great..... turns out the motor is blown on this junk, but I got a set of wheel weights, sleeve hitch, and plow out of it....

I couldn't get it out of the truck cause of 4 flats, so i had to yank it one way & hold with the winch from the other.....

Does that one have a 20 horse Kohler? That's what ours had before someone put Briggs on it.

Looks like the winch setup is working out great for ya! Should be real handy!

Also it's nice to see the ol' stretched Simplicity still being put to work!

It has a 26horse briggs, seems to have no compression. Hydro trans

Finally got this LT1000 ready to sell, had to do a starter, head gasket, swap decks with a good deck, plug, fuel lines, filter etc. Sold it in less than 24hrs, here it is next to my GT5000 looks pretty pathetic....

I cannot get any little grey craftsmans sold this year no one wants them for some reason.. no idea why but Im sitting on a few.

I finally got the squashed seat pan straightened on this 6211 with the help of a high lift and some creative jack use, cleaned the thing up and its driving/mowing & pretty shiny...

Nice work!! Throw a towel over the middle of that cable in case it let's go it don't take out your back window.

Went to a to a swap meet and picked up this little lift for a 2" receiver, a clever little set up and it works well (20 bucks!!)....  Got my 17gth simplicity on working duty, and I got this bagger tractor with a 18hp opposed up/running and cutting.

In my area that Craftsman would sell for $450 and quickly.

That is awesome, the baggers do sell very well... I haven't sold a single grey craftsman this season, I just traded one yesterday for an air compressor but they are stale for the moment....

Got another clip of the bed winch, gonna pick up a GT today & see how it goes with it.... It would be a piece of cake if the tractors didnt have mowing decks, but because of the height of a fullsize truck, the break over angle creates the need to fiddle with the deck getting over the tailgate.


finally painted it up and reinstalled it... I have a cover for the winch now to....

1988 craftsman GT, this one has a horizontal 20hp onan engine, electric deck lift, hi low trans, pretty sweet machine... Guy said it wouldn't start, and the starter teeth were just jammed up in the flywheel. Runs sweet..and cuts good, needs a few little things.

got this running and cutting, its a smooth running machine, I just don't know if I can afford to own it, parts for the onan seem real expensive... The electric deck lift is not working good. I think I am just gonna unload it... Not sure what it is worth, maybe 400 or so.... Cuts good.

Wow! I don't recall ever seeing a Craftsman 3... Hmm? Onan? Never heard of it. Electric deck lift? Never heard of that either. Those Craftsmans that don't have the split headlights seem to be pretty hard to find.

An opposed twin? Doesn't look like a 44" to me, 48" maybe?

An old Onan opposed in a Craftsman GT? Hmm, that's the first time I've seen that... cool!!

The parts for them engines definitely aren't cheap though, as you mentioned. Haha.

yeah 2cyl onan, owned by cummins now, I have seen them in cub cadets and older garden tractors, more common in generators. This has a 44" deck with a electronic linear actuator.....The parts are outrageous expensive... I have had allot of grey craftsman tractors and GT's but nothing like this before...

It runs 10x smoother than any briggs or kohler opposed or twin cyl engine....

That's what went wrong on my Murray before I started modding it. Welcome to the world of OHV single cylinder Briggs & Stratton. They eat through those just as much as gasoline.

Got this little guy moving last night, it actually runs and cuts really nice. The 12.5 is a smooth running & surprisingly quiet, cuts grass with ease.... Id like to keep it but I already have one haha...

Funny thing about it is it has 10" rims with 1" axles on the hydro. I only had a set of old wheel horse tires that would fit on it, and these old wheel horse tires are dead flat, but the sidewalls are 10x stiffer than all the newer tires out there....

Had a few between this in and out real quick... but got this last night for free....It cranks and has spark, but the choke was frozen shut & I ran out of time to mess around... its small but cool...10hp hydro, electric pto
