sold the super bronco today for 350, maybe 10 dollars in gaskets into it, and a few screws..... piece of poop quality tractor.
I agree with you on the piece of poop quality tractor. and unfortunatly they are all going this direction.
yeah I didnt even look at it much but it is "automatic" but its not a hydro, it has some type of cvt belt system, when you step on the pedal it is kind of like when you slam antilock brakes on ice, and the pedal crumbles and vibrates on your foot. Total piece of crap though, could build a better tractor with spare parts.
Yeah these new ones aren't good for anything except cutting grass. But hey, 340 profit, not a bad deal!

I been burning the candle at both ends on these tractors last two weeks. Picking up a scotts/deere on the way home tonight, won a simplicity 6211 on ebay, that im picking up this weekend. Things will only be really good and busy this and next month, I think, but im turning down offers to pick up tractors based on time and travel. I only can take stuff that is simple fixing at the moment or it falls to the back of the line.
We are trying to renovate a bathroom in our house this summer & bathrooms are expensive so more I can move the better. Sold my simplicity broadmoor 14 last night finally.
Pretty nice scotts there! Where I'm at I'd probably get 350 for it all fixed up.
I've always wanted to build a Craftsman like that, But no one wants to sell theirs here. That's actually how I ended up with the Lowe's, I was asking the owner if he'd sell his craftsman but he gave me the lowe's instead. I'll bet that thing runs smooth!

yeah its a good running engine in a junk mower but whatever... I am picking up another grey one tonight with a briggs 12.5 flat head. The green and grey are extremely common around here, I have 5 or 6 I just have around for parts...
People are calling me like crazy to pick stuff up, I need to get a winch in the back of my truck asap. I cant pick up anything with flat tires unless I have another strong willing person...

So do you run a lawn mower shop, or do you have some kind of ad somewhere saying "I take junk mowers" or something?
That's what I wanted, a grey 6 speed, 12.5 briggs craftsman. I thought they'd be pretty common around here, but I've seen 3 out of all the 3 1/2 years I've lived here.

haha no but I advertise on CL & FB for picking up junk equipment, so after a while same people call etc. I buy stuff from allot of the same people too. Just right now is a good time to sell while the grass is just growing, then it will drop off end of summer. I do have business insurance for doing this/liability reasons, but not an official business...
You always have to be the fist one there on a good deal though.

Do you have any trailers for sale? I used to have a Craftsman yard cart back in the day with the dump feature and miss the sh*t out of it. With the turf tires not the ribbed. Think the payload max was 1000 LB?

I dont have any extra, ive been turning them down though.
I bought another grey craftsman last night, guy said it needed a drive belt, ahhh well the engine was mostly not bolted down, so that appears to be most of the problem. Suprising how often people let the engine bolts fall out & keep going....

this is what im gonna do going forward, tired as hell of pushing these machines around so, im gonna fab up something in my truck bed to mount this. I bought a set of jumper cables & what I usually do is cut the ends of the cables and mount one side to the battery and one side will connect to the winch....

So I have a 2 inch receiver welded through the center of a 7x7 plate.tubes about 7 inches long and is flush mounted to the plate. i cut a hole in my bed floor at the front of my bed and slid the receiver tube down into the hole and screwed the plate to the floor. I made a winch mount with a piece of 2 inch square pipe out the bottom that is also about 7-9 inches long. The winch can now drop right down into the hole and take it right back out. I then made a piece of channel that slid over the edge of my tailgate and welded up a 10 inch wide roller out of 1 5/8 aluminum pipe and put bearings in it so it’ll roll. Now when the tail gate is down and you pull the winch cable to hook to a mower or what ever the cable rides on that roller until you get up past the bed so it doesn’t gouge the tailgate. I’ll get some pictures later on for you

nice that is pretty interesting, ive been google searching what is out there...that is pretty bad ass.....
I dont know if i could do that to my dodge, I think I am going to mount it to the top of the bed rails, I only intend to pull lawn tractors in and out. There are a few products out there like that but they are like 500 bucks.. I have enough steel around to make it work..hopefully be a project for tomorrow supposed to rain here all day.....

I’ve only used mine to pull lawn tractors into my truck so far too, including a hydro white without the relief valve working, wheel weights, and flat tires. If it was attached to the top of my bed rail it would have pulled it, so far it has worked awesome

nice, I got some work done but it rained so much today that I couldn't get it mocked up and tack welded on the truck..... one day this week ill post up what I am gonna try...
Picked this up over the weekend, simplcity 6211, supposed to be running, has a Taco'd seat pan I need to hammer out. Its kind of like a small garden tractor with a stupid 11hp engine.

you know it's funny how older mowers got by with 10 11 12 hp engines but now there all 18.5 or more to run the same set up ! i currently have a poullan pro that has a 18.5 and 42 inch deck and a craftsman yt4000 that has a 26 hp and 46 inch deck ! they are the exact same tractor and i don't think it would take 7.5 more hp to run a deck that is 4 inches bigger i also have a cub cadet zero turn that has a 48 inch deck and has only a 20 hp briggs v twin. none of it adds up !

yeah surprisingly this 11 horse runs real good, I turned the key and it fired right up. They just dont measure horsepower the same now or something, doesnt make sense. No way a non GT craftsman needs 26hp.
