| Body reinstalledThe Mower stripped down to the Frame looks very ugly, so i decided to reinstall the Mower Body. Grill, Hood, Fender,.... I especially bought this model, because i like the body of the mower. Now the mower looks like a mower again! I want to test my build maybe 1 month or so, before painting, because if i need to change something, i need to repaint it again Without the deck, the AG Tires, the Homemade Muffler, and the LED Lights, it looks a bit naked and definately non-finished! A lot of work I need to do! Damn, we have now the next Weeks the Important Tests at school for my Graduation so i ca'nt do much on my mower, need to learn | |

Yeah. Want to do the Test Drive soon! - Double W Cross Ranch wrote:

Thanks. All the newer MTDs are looking very ugly and were made out of tin can steel. Mine is also not the strongest, but better than the newer ones you can buy in the hardware store - MightyRaze wrote:

Thanks! We had written the 1st test today. - MatthewD wrote:

definately looking great! Love the look of those wide tires on the rear. Wish you also good luck on your exams.

| Homemade Glasspack MufflerI talked about my Muffler a few days earlier in the Chatbox, once i had worked on them. Now i had finished him. It's actually my 1st homemade Muffler. Before i only made tin can straight pipes for push mower engines I used an old GDR Fire Extinguisher, a old car Exhaust, some steel pipe and the stock MTD B&S Muffler. I cut the bends and the flange for the exhaust port from the stock muffler, to use them for my new one. I cut a hole in the Top and the Bottom of the Fire Extinguisher, and opened the car muffler to get the glass wool and the pipes with the holes. WARNING: Reusing this glass wool is a very dirty Job! Now my shop is contaminated with the soot, coming from the glass wool, and also you need to scratch oneself from the wool. I'm VERY VERY VERY happy to finished this dirty Job. I wrapped the glass wool around the holepipes from the muffler, and pushed both inside of the cut opened extinguisher. Then welded the holepipes on the Extinguisher. I closed the new muffler with my ugly welds And welded the outlet of the car exhaust on top of my muffler, to put the gases away from me Mockup how it will look: Now i welded the muffler on the pipe (I had a few Problems to do this on the mower, and because of that fact, my welds are looking so awful, but no one would see them later ) Now It's finished! (On the Picture you ca'nt see, but i had welded a support bracket on there, to remove some Stress from the manifold bolts.) I do'nt paint it, because, of that fact, i told you in the thread before. I had'nt tested it until now, but i think, i will get a good low and very deep tone from the muffler, on Idle, you can hear the strokes very good, and through the big resonance pipe in the muffler, it will sound like a big engine, but it's only 400cc. The Glasspack Technology also helps, to quiet the exhaust down a bit, but still louder and sounding much cooler than the stock muffler. I'm very excited for the Soundcheck, and i will make a Video about it, and upload it here. First i wanted to make a removable one, but decided against it, because i want to experiment some other things on my next build for 2019 (Plans are secret!) | |

Thank you! - Crazy_Carl wrote:
- This dual throttle setup is great! Doesn't look hack or anything. Looks like it should hold up pretty well over time. I might adapt something like this on one of my machines some day. Luckily you have lots of room to work with that style governor linkage.
Yeah, this setup works very well. Built sturdy to last long enough. I like dual throttle really - MatthewD wrote:

You can steal it! For that this Forum is made! - AllisKidD21 wrote:

Had'nt thought, all of you like that thing soo much, but i had'nt seen such thing on a other mower

| I've seen dual throttle setups on a few different tractors, but none that use the governor for both controls like yours does. Pretty neat setup!
