| My parents had this horse cart with skis you could swap on, that was pretty cool. We never used them(they never even came out of the bag lol). I always wanted to steal them and put them on a mower, but they got sold with the cart.
If you were going to make some skis, I think you'd want some spring steel for the runners(leaf springs are a good candidate). Regular mild steel might not stay polished so long and might get rough and provide some resistance. Just an thought.

| Howdy! From hell, im writing, maybe not, our temp is worse than hell..i imagine...its really hot. A little update: I was fiddling around with the lights and found that this looks pretty good. Also added a switch and did a liltte "tidy up" on the wires, everything looks better now. For the switch i made a "plate" to fit it int the old battery indicator hole. Then i had laying around a poly bush and that got also added to the donkeys seat. Now there is one little thing, and that's the exhaust, i still have not found the muffler i like, matbe next week - i hope...i really need to fine tune the engine but without the exhaust...it quite loud Help needed: When i connect the red or plus wire, to my battery, that should be charging my battery...little but some sparks fly...wtf is that? something has a short? the same wires that come from undreneath the flywheel, before i understand they were connected straight to lights, but i added a switch. so help please, is that normal? | |

| the wires coming from underneath the flywheel either need to be hooked to a regulator/rectifier then the battery (not directly) or power incandescent lighting. Sounds like you might be hooking up un-rectified AC to your battery. Not good.
I like the LED bulbs and those poly bushings might just save your back a tiny bit.

100% Nope - Crazy_Carl wrote:

| So, i have a little explaining to do. The sparks will fly if you dont add the "one way" diode to the positive wire, that comes from underneath the flywheel. This was a "gone through" in this thread already, i jsut forgot to add the diode. When it was added, everything went better than expected, no sparks and the battery is charging. Now, a little more exiting news... The donkey is running and quite well. Now, i was test driving the donkey and suddenly one cilinder stopped to work...sound changed and power loss and so on...i did not get it, HOW... So, i cheked the spark, fine, then i cheked the fuel, fine, then i cheked the compression with my finger...NONE. So things started to roll, i checked the valve springs, everything was fine, at first glance...then i had nothing else to do, i removed the cilinder head...: How the F***CK? I made some improvements also, Now when i switch the ignition on, the batt volts show, easy to see if the ign is on or off. Also found a place for my machete! | |

| Nice machete. Come in handy with those low branches, cutting them off while driving does seem more doable but may create more problems, be careful. Did you get the motor running again after digging out the bolt? Might be the air filter bolt or choke butterfly bolt, might be a good idea to check, LOL. Nice vaporizer too, I got one also. | |
