| First off, welcome to the ATLTF forums. I'm sure there will be a few pop in here and there with some Ideas! Not sure of exactly which model of Craftsman you have, (looks like @Doug 's) but if a geared transaxle, pulley swaps for a little more speed. You mentioned you put on new tires, lots of times we put on more aggressive tires. Depending on how fast you are going, you may need some steering upgrades. (oh and mower deck off and not in the way) All in all, you have a good start there. | |

| Looks like a good tractor to start with. I would recommend putting some all terrain tires on it, at least on the back anyway. Once you've got that you can still have fun and not get stuck as often as you would with turfs. Then you can move on to suspension!! Hahaha. | Hahaha. Actually I wouldn't quite say I'm addicted, more like unsettlingly intrigued. | post a better pic, and the suggestions will come more quickly. from what i can see it looks like a clean tractor, possibilities are limitless on a stock mower. ( dont lock the front end , i did on my murray and regret it since i went back to an unlocked transaxle) theres my advice | |

| Do you have a welder? If you have a cheap welder, a vise, and a hack saw, you can make pretty much anything. Custom bumpers, exhaust system, light bars, nerf bars, tow hooks, hood rack, skid plates.
Bolting on extra lights is always fun and easy, even if it doesn't help your tractor that much off road. Or putting on some nifty race stickers. In fact if you contact doug fackler on here he might be able to send you some ATLTF stickers. He mails them out for free sometimes I think, not sure if he's still doing that right now.
If you can post some more pics on here of your build. Close ups are nice. There's a built in picture hosting thing on the website so you can upload onto here. Fairly easy once you do it a time or two. I think there's a thread explaining it somewhere too. | |
