| Somebody should do a mower build dedicated to Red Green. Duct tape and zip ties for fasteners only hahaha. Bud this isn't a Murray, working out a belt system on should be cake. | |

| Did you see the steering wheel that was on this thing? It WAS duct tape and zip ties, hahaha. Red Green never used zip ties though, that's too proffessional. | You should have seen the Rally Roper. Deck held on with bungee cords, spindles welded with classic bird poo welds, the throttle was a nut welded to the dash with a piece of all thread run to the carb butterfly, no breaks, the rear pulley was the wrong hub size, so he welded it to the jackshaft, but it was welded crooked and the belt wouldn't stay on. Mismatching tread, no exhaust, teeth missing from the steering gears so you couldn't turn left...You get the picture! | |

| Did a bit of work to the ol' Craftsman tonight. Started on a nice heavy bumper. Sorta the same C-channel design that I did on the MTD but with out the pre-runner bar. What could this bracket be for?? Haha, I got a winch for a Christmas present, so I thought it'd be good on this tractor! The controller is just clamped to the old deck lift handle. Perfect! You might also notice I changed the grille a bit and added some mesh stuff to the sides. Looks nice in my opinion. I love the winch and bumper combo as well! Should work great on this rig, haha. | Haha thanks, the winch is only 1000lbs actually, but it should still work fine. I think I've decided to do snowmobile leaf springs on this thing for suspension, so I gotta be able find some first and then hopefully I'll be able to do it. | 1000 is prob because of the strap instead of cable. Should be more than enough for that tractor. Oh, so it is this one you want to use the leafs for? Sweet! So it will end up a little like my sasquatch. | |

| I like how that bumper looks like it means business which is just how a utility/ work tractor should look. It's not for fun, it's for taking care of business. | |

| Pull start her a lot of the time. The battery is about chooched. Can usually get a start out of the battery in warm weather if I only have to crank it once a few hours. Oppy starters aren't bad to work with if you've already done them a few times hahaha | |

Thanks Carl! Haha, I figured the "simple amd rugged" look would be best for this thing - RichieRichOverdrive wrote:

Thanks Rich! Yeah the winch will be handy for sure, good for pulling our other tractors if they break or anything. | I decided to try making the rear rack for this thing today. I was planning to use a push mower handle cut and welded to the proper shape. Here's the basic idea. I got the upper and lower mounts made and bolted up nice. Had to grind away at the seat bracket a bit for clearance. Then I got the mesh stuff all tacked on. Seems to be good! It could use a bit more support on the sides but I have an idea for that so I'll get it fixed up better soon. Let me know what ya think! Bit hard to stick weld that stuff eh? Hahaha | |

| Thanks Rich. It might be a bit hard to tell, but there is a spot cut out for the fuel cap. I should probably put some steel rod around the inside of that little square for some structure.
Haha I had the ol' Lincoln down to 65A and used the 5/64" electrodes. I got 'er done but it was a bit tedious.
