Anyway I've decided my radius arm idea isn't gonna work so I guess I'm gonna have to re-think that and see what I can come up with. I did get the steering working again though!

The original drag link had to be bent a wee bit haha.



And the steering arm I had to weld on.



The wheels dont turn crazy sharp but with the short wheel base of this thing it should still turn fine.



Hopefully I can figure out the radius arms and get 'er rolling again soon!

Alright all, I got the radius arms done much better, and the steering all working great. Also I finally got to take 'er for a test drive! It works great! It rides better, it's more stable, and it flexes pretty decent for an IFS setup as opposed to a solid axle. But anyway, I got pictures!

















This turned out to be a fantastic setup, I have no complaints about the ride. I'm actually really proud of how this turned out! Hahaha. Let me know what ya think!

I showed my dad the twin I beam setup and he just shook his head. Seems he had some infuriating experiences with that setup, lol

Congrats Rich! Haha, yeah the most I've ever worked on one was changing all four ball-joints on an '06 F350. Wasn't too bad of a job really, they're a pretty cool setup!

Came out lookin pretty good, and flexes real nice too. Liked the one pic with the pickup behind it.

How does it ride compared to the MTD?

It absorbs bumps nicer at speed because its has coilovers so the shocks kinda slow things down a bit, where as the MTD bounces a bit more. There is a bit of body roll at full speed and full lock turns but the big top heavy oppy in that little thing probably doesnt help hahaha. It isn't too bad for crawling and stuff but it doesnt have the drop and stretch that the MTD setup has, although I expected that because it's an indepentent setup. So overall they both have their place haha.

So I'm giving this Twin I-Beam setup a great big thumbs up!! I've been driving it a lot lately and the ride is soooo nice, much better than it was before the suspension. It's holding up pretty well too, even holds up to the oppy crashing down on it when I pop a 3rd gear wheel stand haha.

Anyway I swapped some new wheels on the front today because the old ones had steel bushings that were very wore out. Also one tire had a slow leak, so it was time for some better ones haha.





Should be an improvement. They have greaseable bearings in them as well which is much better. Plus I think they look alot cooler!

Also I reinforced my radius arms a bit for safe measures:



Might weld a peice of sheet steel on there as well for looks, we'll see. Let me know what ya think!

I think that unit would look good with round headlights sticking out the sides. Plus, the added benefit for things to get snagged on them, or to get busted off!

Hahaha, we'll see about that one Beal. I do wanna add lights of some sort though, like on a bumper (That I have yet to make) or something.
