Like the tires !don't get your hopes up,... I bought some tires that,looked wider and smaller but once I aired them up they went to the correct dimensions

Yeah I guess it's a possibility, but I'm not too worried about it. Hopefully they look great regardless, haha.

I'm betting they will look good. Rim width has a lot to do with the height and width too. I have 2 tractors with the same size tire but different rim sizes. One is shorter and wide, while the other is narrower and taller. :-)

Yeah, they should look pretty awesome. And they should help my complete lack of steering in the mud and snow, hahaha.

those hoods are designed to have oppys in them on other models , so it one should fit and h8ave more room in back and the front of the engine . side room is taken up .

Well I started working away on the tires today.



The old turfs actually came off super easy! I was quite pleased with that.

And here's the finished product!









She looks mean for sure!! I'm liking it so far, can't wait to drive 'er. But before that I think I'm actually gonns delete the bell crank. I don't really trust it to be honest, especially with these big paws on the front. I'm thinking about just crossing it over to the right spindle like I had it originally because that worked fine and it was more reliable, less stuff to break. I'll leave the bell crank all mounted up until I see how well this other setup works. Maybe I'll start working on that tonight, if so I'll get some pictures. Either way I got my tires on so I'm happy! Hahaha.

Looks good! You need to drive it more because the sticker is still on the tire.

Hahaha, thanks prancstaman. I took that sticker off right after pictures. Also I got my steering sorta worked out;







The steering arm on the spindle is too short so my ratio is a bit high, probably gonna put something longer on there tomorrow to get a nicer ratio. It does work though, probably gonna hold up better than that bell crank would've. Test ride tomorrow!

Yeah, I've been wanting to upgrade my fronts for a while now. Turfs don't steer so well in some conditions haha.

Those new paws look great!  If you are ripping it up in that white stuff.  Grab a Vid!  LOL

Good job on the steering reconfig.

Tires look good on there, steering setup looks good! Drag link looks a bit chinsey though, I could see it bending. I'd make a new one outta like 5/8" or 3/4" round stock, but that's up to you lol

Thanks Rich! The drag link is a factory Dynamark lawn tractor one, same thickness as the one I had on before. It should hold up, but if not I'll make a nice new one!

Yeah it looks just a little less like a lawn tractor, more like skme kind of weird ATV/LT crossover. Hahaha.

Well I headed out into the cold to finish this thing.

I welded on some better steering arms and fixed the Ackerman angles.





I've actually decided against the steering knuckles for now. In this weather I dont really feel like doing more fab work than I have to. I'll probably make some in the nicer weather some time though.

Had to lenghten the tie rod a bit.





I also decided to make my track bar a bit longer and mount it better and at less of an angle.



And here's basically the whole setup



Test run went great! I definitely love these mew tires. Better grip in the snow and it seems to crawl over objects better rather than just try and push them like before. I never fixed my steering ratio so it's a bit higher than I like, but it still steers super smooth! I'll probably chop off that angle iron steering arm and make a nicer, longer one soon to get a lower steering ratio.

Hahaha, thanks. We definitely have enough to spare. I was gonna make a video but it's so windy today it'd be impossible to get a good video. Maybe on a nicer day!
