Just realized those tires would match the rears on Red.

Definitely get those tires. They'll look sick and the price is hard to beat for brand new rubber.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely gonna try and get a pair. I'm also thinking about making some heavy duty steering knuckles, but I'll get more into detail about that once I go to do it.

If you're making those steering knuckles, why not go with a bigger spindle? You could go with 1" spindles and just have to change the bushings in the rim. Just an idea, lol

Yeah I dont know, my rims have actual bearings in them so I'd have to get new ones. I'll probably just re-use my 3/4" bolts. Might as well not have 1" spindles if I have 3/4" axle shafs hahaha.

On another note I think I need to add a couple crossmembers in the frame around the axle area, it seems like it's flexing quite a bit and that why the bumper looks bent in this picture.



The rest of the frame seems fine so I think it's just that area around the axle. Shouldn't be too hard to fix, I'll just add in a couple of angle steel cross members and see if that cures 'er.

You actually use the guard and handle on your angle grinder? That's kinda odd to me, I've never had one with those

Yeah I'm hoping the ol' angle steel will get it fixed up.

Haha, yeah I always keep both on. If I didnt have the guard on and a disc ever exploded, which they do sometimes, it would tear up my hand most likely. Also I try to keep the handle on especially with the cutting wheel, cuz they tend to catch sometimes.

Well I found out I can't get those Duro Thrashers here after all, but I found another pair of tires I like just as much!



Duro HF246's. I can only get them in 20x7-8 which is a little bigger then I wanted, but it should work fine. I just ordered a pair and they should be here somtime after Christmas.

I do have a few improvments I would like to make to this thing sometimes soon, so I have a little list haha.

-Mount new tires
-Re-do bumper
-Brace frame around front axle
-Steering shaft support
-Improve shifter and possibly a shifter gate
-Finish foot throttle
-Possibly steering knuckles
-Re-do exhaust with flange.
-Utility rack revamp
-Battery hold down
-Scrap axle locator and make a track rod
-New tie-rod ends
-Mount tie rod on top of steering arms for more ground clearance
-Paint a couple of things.

Might take a while to get all of that done, but hopefully I can actually remember to do all of it hahaha.

Sweet tires! Bigger the better, I say. Should steer nice!

Thanks fellas! I'm looking forward to the upgrades, just kinda like a mini re-vamp for this thing. It's been getting beat on for a while now without being worked on very much so I figured I'd let 'er have a break and improve some stuff. Should be fun, hahaha

Pretty much yeah, also some stuff that's not working that well and needs repairing/improving haha.

Well I got some stuff done today.

I made some nicer looking and stronger upper coil bucket braces.

About 1/4" thick flat stock.

Then I decided to get started on a new bumper.





Here's what I came up with!

Not too bad! I still need to mount the lights and add a couple clevis holders to the front, but I like it so far. I'm actually gonna completely re-do my steering next, pretty much re-do the steering box mount and change the bell crank design. Hopefully I'll be able to get that all figured out soon.

Nice bumper. Thank goodness you finally strengthened those buckets. It was kinda sketchy lol.

buckets look good braced and your bumper has a perfect "handle" for picking the front up now
