It sound like a kind of redneck plan and I like it. All depend on what you whant to do with it I dont thing that will be enough to go on road. Do yo talk abouth a fullsize pickup or something smaller

Do it! I would install a 10" pulley on the trans in place of the clutch, and run a 4" pulley on the motor and run a belt between them to clutch and gear it down a bit.

Ok now I say it might work and more if you whant to make a tractor from it (that will result on a weight reduction). But as my 4wheeling experience even on low gear you probably get some point were you wont have enough power. Other than that I like your project and I probably try it as future thing do try
