4x4 Mini Truck

I have always wanted a Mud truck and I currently have a lifted mower. Its a blast but I wanted 4x4 so I went to the drawing board and got an idea in my head. Then the sparks started flying and the build began. I am running a 18 hp opposing twin briggs with a 801-006 peerless trans. Custom axles, four link suspension with shocks from a banshee 4 wheeler.

Gonna be a cool build!

That picture is it mostly done. Just odds and ends left to do to it.

It doesnt drive yet. Got excited and tried to test drive the other day and not having the clutch finished I had to start it in gear. well something went wrong and long story short I blew the rear end out of it. So I gotta order some gear boxes to make new diffs.

DUDE!!   That is awesome. I have been thinking about building axles similar to yours. I'm glad to see that it is doable! Are you locking the center differential?

The axles I built didn't work. I'm ordering t gear boxes soon but money is tight. Need a sponser for this build lol. As for the transaxle yes I plain to lock it. I have to tear the trans apart and install new input shaft and bearings and when I'm i. There I'm going to lock it. I plain to remove the spider gears and get a solid shaft that runs threw the whole transaxle.

Almost looks like you made the sheetmetal from 55gal drums, if so, that's awesome!

You are correct. I get them for free at work. So it was the most cost effective way to do it.

dunno abour 4x4, but there is certainly a mini truck/lawnmower movement HERE on the site... The red Fox, Richie's mini deuce, and the stretched tractor (I apologize for forgetting the other build members name), and now your 4x4. Plans in the future for the red fox include a front drive as well (maybe next year), so The Red Fox will be joining the 4x4 ranks. Great job so far! Don't give up. I LOVE the scrap sheet metal builds, bein a Junk mechanical collector myself. Recycle, reuse, and repurpose.... all the way!

Thank you everyone. Really. It means a lot to hear positive feedback on my build. I do not build my stuff for others but for myself. So when people think my builds are cool odk I just can't explain it lol.
