This is awesome I can't wait I have been building a wheel horse 211-3 Rock crawler and I can't wait to test it out and hang out if any body has more information on it let me know and I would love to meet some of you guys be for we get there so if and body is going g please let me know

Do you guys only meet once a year

Braden. We ride in ohio once a month. The mowrons join us occasionally too.

There is alot to making a tractor go fast safely. I'd suggest staying under 20mph unless lowered with upgraded steering.

You should be able to achieve that with a larger engine pulley, could also go smaller trans pulley but that could lead to belt slippage

Some recommendations for mods... Nothing is required, but you will have a lot more fun!:

Speed.  Even though ours go 45, we rarely go fast at haspin.  We'll do some drag races on the dirt drag strip, but if you can do 10-15 mph, you'll keep up just fine on the trails.

Bumpers/tow hooks.  Ours are a little low on the front sometimes.  But to be able to grab the hoop on the front and lift/pull, or to be able to push each other out is great.

Belt keepers.  You can find more about our gate style keepers in the builds listed in my signature.

Foot or hand throttles without governors.  This is a personal preference, others keep the governors and do just fine.  We've had issues where the governor would give full throttle attempting to maintain rpm on a steep hill, causing a flip.  If you're good with your clutch you can control it.

Tie rods/spindles.  If you're not going crazy with jumps and hitting stuff, stock tie rods and spindles can last.  I recommend reinforcing the spindles with welded gussets, and using 1/2in tie rods.

Brakes.  We have upgraded to bigger brakes, but stock ones can work, you just need to keep them clean and adjusted.
Note on driving down hills - Use low gear at idle to slide down some of the steep stuff.  This will allow the rear end to spin some, so you have some control.  Also brakes are notorious for failing here, so save them for when you really need them.

Other Recommendations:

Starting.  We have both recoil and electric start on most of our machines.  I'd bring an extra rope, or an entire spare recoil assembly.  If using electric start, make sure you have a good battery.

Good tires.  ATV or AG tires do help, but we have some tractors with turfs that do fine.

Lights!  We go on night rides every night!  If your engine has a lighting circuit (most older briggs), that works pretty good so your battery doesn't get drained.  LED lights connected to the battery work as well.  Taillights help too.

Stretch and I are really ramping up the work to get ready for Haspin! Lots of bus upgrades and the typical huge pile of tractor maintenance... We have already scrapped the idea of having the jeep buggy or mini dozer there this year due to time constraints. How's everyone else as far as readiness? Just over a month to go!

Baja sears is more or less ready to run, not gonna change much on that. Simplicity of course needs to be finished but should make it. I've heard rumors that Doug Fackler isn't going to have a running tractor and is possibly bringing alternative vehicles. Also heard Redlinemotorsports thinks he has something more important to do for June. Still need to look over the transport vehicle a bit, but everything should be ok.

My 2 tractors as well as my atv are good to go.

Depending on travel arrangements I might have a 4x4 truck there too.

Yea, gravely wont be done in time. Ill probably be bringing the MB200 and XT250. Might get a new camera camera to take pictures.

Im doing a ton of rides, both truck and mower right around this event, so my budget will be totally busted. No T shirt for me.
