| I have a foot throttle control welded up on the foot rest of my mower. its a brake lever from a bicycle and it has the conduit with the wire inside and the throttle that is on the dash hooks up with a lil metal rod with a bend in it. im wondering how to hook up the bicycle conduit so I can work the throttle with the bicycle lever on my foot rest. I really want to throttle with my foot. thank guys | |

did you want it to be with the dash lever AND the foot petal? what kind of engine is it? i have a way for both opposed twins AND single cylinder. with the single cylinder you can have the lever with it. let me know.

| I want just the foot pedal. I do have a return spring for when I let off the pedal it returns the throttle block to the idle position so that's not a problem. My problem is the thing that hooks to the throttle block is metal rod and it just hooks into the side. The bicycle conduit has the wire and I have no idea how to hook it to the throttle block so I can control the throttle with the foot pedal? | |

| LOL. I ain't gonna steer you wrong. You can get a "universal bicycle brake cable kit" at Walmart and various other places, containing about 5' of cable, the flex conduit, and a couple ends. That's what I usually use. | |

| If you want something stronger, look for the parking brake cables with housings for things like later model isuzu amigos, and such. | |

| Indeed! I use surplus automotive parking brake cables when I'm setting up cable-op brakes on go karts and stuff. Bulletproof. Honestly, overkill for a throttle, tho- the cable is so thick and heavy, I think it would cause throttle problems. At the very least, you'd need some SERIOUS return springs! | |

I had the thought because I am thinking about using one for the brakes on the WHAMS.
