| you can get a cheap 6" brake disc with a 3/4" bore as well as a mechanical break caliper i cant remember where i seen it at haha having some bad brainfarts but im sure most mower have enough room between the frame and tire to mount one | |

| I wouldn't be too quick to trust my butt to bicycle brakes. Try looking for go kart brakes. A good mechanical system can stop you efficiently and reliably. | |

| You can do this and they will lock up the back tires but they wear out fast. | |

| i just put my feed down, i keep my olde workboots and use them. i have seen people also make a piece of rubber that gets rammed against the rear tire when you push a lever... LOL, in all seriousness, i wouldnt trust bicycle brakes either. try to find a good kart brake and disc, hell, even an ATV hydraulic brake if you want to go that route | |

| It is the same disk and caliper that they use on some bikes though. I know because me and k2500life built this on my transaxle but put it in his mower. | |
