| how do i add brakes to my transaxle? i originaly bought it and it didnt have brakes on it on the mower. previous owner took everything apart. so i dont have the stock brake setup | |

| the little shaft sticking out the one sidein the front of the tranny is where stock brakes go you should be able to find a caliper and brake disc on ebay for fairly cheap. | |

| i dont know the model for my transaxle. their is no label on it. :/ i have another transaxle. its a hydro. do you think the brake should swap from that one? | |

| hmmm ok ill try and swap it first. if not ill try and modify a mechanical brake mount to my frame

| i actually have 2 transaxles to try the brakes from hopefully 1 works | |

| well it works but i need better brakes and a way to have a seperate pedal or lever for my brakes | |

| here is how mine is set up, i got a caliper and rotor off of a pocket bike i had and took the factory lawnmower rotor and bolted it to the new rotor, then i made a bracket to mount the new caliper to and added a bicycle brake handle to the floorboard. heres a few pics. | |

| yea im debating on doing that with a mechanical brake seeing your picture and maybe a bicycle handle on my shifter | |

| well im putting a real gas pedal on my mower. so i wouldnt have room anyways. plus it will add leverage to the shifter | |

| Ya it might get a little sketchy when u accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake | |
