| Seal all will work, just gooey. If you can get it to covor the crack it will most likly not come off, and it works, used some on a demo car gas tank. | |

| there are a few sealants out there, they all would work. however, they reccomend getting all the rust off... you might be able to JB weld it from the outside | |

| This must be a common thing. Redneckcomputergeek on youtube (maine mud mower here) cracked his tank on the halfway mark too. A new take would be better, plastic not old and brittle. | |

| it happens with them old steel tanks.. a new plastic would be the way to go, but as a temporary fix is JB weld or something like that. if you need to build up funds or something | |

| I've had problems with these 2 piece gas tanks leaking to. I bought some "gas tank glue'' from home depot. It slowed the drip down but didn't stop it. The lt1000 tanks go on ebay for like 22-30 dollars shipped i think. | |

| Looks like there was supposed to be some rubber under the mounts........I can see where they are bent down and thats not good for plastic! Could have caused the crack. Does anyone know if the factory had them mounted like that w/rubber? GP | |

| If its steel, weld or braze it.. if its plastic, buy a plastic welder and some filler rods. | |

you do realize gasoline is explosive, right? that being said, id highly reccomend staying away from arc's or flame.. hence why i said JB weld as a temp | |
