| Alright so I've had this old Murray stamped frame for a little while now and just yesterday I finally got it running. It has a 19.5hp briggs opposed twin on it and a 5spd transaxle right now it goes about 15 cause it had a 3in on back and 3 on front. It may be getting a 6in front pulley and a 1 in or 3in rear. It will eventually become a military themed rat rod type mower with olive drab green and a white star or a deer skull on it not sure yet. I got this thing for 10$ from my buddy along with about 5 others. I got the name "THE PATRIOT" from promethiusedi. So here's some pics. This when I got it I will get some more pics up later

| I took it for a ride down the road and it ran like poop and wouldn't stay running without me full force pulling the choke and does anyone know the air fuel mixture for the 19.5? | |

That indicates that you're running lean. There are many possible problems, but they all amount to the same thing. Not enough fuel for the air going in. Check fuel delivery, carb tuning, pump and pump actuation, cracked vacuum line to the pump, etc. Do you have any idea if your carb has a fixed main jet, or an adjustable main? A few pics of the carb would help, but I suspect it's NOT adjustable. | |

| What type of compression does it have? May be just cut the gas off to it. Can you show more of the flappers? I was gonna buy some but there to much at tractor supply. | |

| ahhhh damn bud if its shooting full out like that (happend before) its the fuel pump i highly recommend changing the oil and rebuilding the fuel pump then install a fuel shut off valve because these engines have pressure when tured off so the fuel pump keeps pumping fuel in | |
