| Longer belt, or more travel in the clutch required. | |

| Yes check all of your belt tensioners and your clutch adjustment. Another thing make sure that your belt doesn't have any sticky material on it, but I don't know if that will do it or not but still it wouldn't hurt. | |

| I always have that problem with a new belt. they seem to have a coating on them that makes them very grabby. I usually go out and put it in the highest gear I have, then slip the belt for 50 ft or so then drive around for a couple minutes. then slip the belt again and repeat. after about a half hour they seem to get a glaze on them that slips nice when the clutch is in and grips when you let it out. Also you can look at putting in a belt brake like wheel horse has. basically a tab welded off the frame and a tab made that rides with the clutch that pinch the belt after the clutch is applied to stop the belt from moving

| Hopefully I can get Rainbow to draw up what I am writing about...
Using our gate system of guides we use a upper and lower bar across the frame of the tractor, so the belt is held at the right height. Then we weld two bars vertical on the bars, so when the clutch is pushed in, it keeps the belt in a oval shape, and off the pulley. If not the belt can be loose, and still grab, making it hard to shift.
This also allows us to use belts that are just barely large enough. | |

| The way we would figure that out is to put the belt on, let the clutch out so the belt is tight, and put the bar maybe a finger's width away from the belt. Mark where it goes, take the belt off and weld it in. | |

| Would this work even if the pulley on the engine is the same size as the clutch pulley | |

| Not sure what the clutch pulley's size has to do with it. Our belt gates are bars are welded in to the frame above and below the belt, across the underside of the tractor frame, and close to the engine pulley (but with enough room you can slip the belt through to change it.) They are not connected to the clutch at all. | |

| Hard to tell from that picture, but are you running a V style clutch pulley on the back of the belt? That might be your problem. | |

| If its on the back side of the belt, you need a flat pulley | |
