| Face it whats one of the number one things people use on the trails? Nope not lockers, Winches. I just picked up my 2nd winch from this guy by the name of taddwholesale. Just type this number in to ebays search engine 300451405491 then click on his name and go to items for sale. They sell 3000lb winches for around 25. I just picked up one with a fairlead and I am installing it on the front of my lawnmower. Trust me these come in handy on many levels. You will fry your rearend pulling people out of the mud "I did on my jd stx38". I was pulling my buddy out of a mudpit. I now use these. Yes they are used but for 25$ and me being a cheapass you really cant beat it. screw the mounting plate cut a hole in the front of your lawnmowers hood and mound this to the frame with the cable going out the front. I put mine on the back because its easier to mount. I got a new masterlock 1500lb winch with remote for 35$ off of this guy. They are easy as hell to mount and hook up. Not strong enough? get a snatchblock and double your pulling power. You can see my winch set up on my youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0bNqrYV0Yc | |

| I'm gonna get a winch for my tractor when finished. I'm gonna put receiver hitches on the front and rear of my tractor and then make a receiver mount for the winch. That way I can put it where ever is needed. With the hitches I will be able to run with tow hooks for easy hook up. | |

| I have one of the 2000lb harbor freight winches, think I paid $40 for it. No fairlead though. I can't even remember why I bought it. I bolted it to a 2" receiver mount and put jumper cable ends on the power leads. It came in handy a few times getting my 2wd Astro van unstuck in wet grass. I really should have spent the time to make a fairlead. Now I plan to slap it on the tractor, and a roller fairlead is definitely in the plans. | |
