Have done over 50 pulley removals this way over the years with only 3 or 4 not working out.
Quick clarification sense people seem to not get it from the video you are ONLY heating the pulley not the shaft. The shaft bearing will be fine unless you heat it wrong.

Excellent tips, and very similar to my own methods. Thanks for posting it. If I may add- I would suggest (especially for newbs) to use a brass drift or similar softer metal for the punch, and avoid striking the shaft directly with the hammer. Some folks might get all Superman on it, and the next thing you know, the end of the shaft is mushroomed, mangled, or otherwise FUBAR.
