Technically two questions -
One, it has a voltage regulator on the side of the shroud, presumably to keep it to 15 amps charge or less. There are 3 wires coming off, One going to the stator I believe, and two going to a harness. I know one is technically ground, and the other hot... or am I wrong? I can try to look it up but does anyone have an idea as to how to determine without a voltmeter?
Two - since this engine is non-standard to this tractor build, how do I rig a kill switch? I don't even see how it was done on the JD it came from - there simply is no spot for it that I can see. Does the spark system on this ground out to kill it like some briggs and tecumseh? Or is there some other way?
I really don't want to just shut the fuel off to kill it... I don't much like leaving the carb dry on a restart...
Nevermind on question one - I found my wiring schematic for it... thank Goodness I didn't wire it that way!
