| Big thanks to fearlessfront for his idea about a pullstart on a tractor engine. Me and my friend just came in from doing it to our tractors with success Pretty simple mod if you got a drill and something to notch the pulley. Feels good to not have to rely on the battery 100% anymore | |

| Is that the one using a pulley on top of the flywheel, or the one where you cut a notch in the deck drive pulley underneath? I'm going to have to do something, because I have some serious electrical accessories going on my project, and my crystal ball is showing me a dead battery... | |

What you need is a charging system Alertnator/generator, voltage regulator/rectifier and a battery. Or run solar battery mainainers

| Oh, I've got a charging system. But it's only a lawn tractor battery! Things like winches will drain them dead quick! I may end up upgrading to an automotive battery later if I can figure out where to put it.
Solar is waaaay too slow.

Solar is waaaay too slow. bigger battery is better, My little ford has a 1000 cca gell battery. mounted above the hitch between the rear tires. Solar is expensive and slow, true.

| Back on topic... I just did FF's pullstart mod. Started it 3 or 4 times in a row, worked very well. Thanks to Fearlessfront for the great idea! | |
