| My engine takes a minimum of 350 amps to start with a new starter. Try jumping it.

ya thats what i figured im replacing it now anyways i have a 14hp twin briggs that came off a 87 mongomery ward. im currently tearing the engine down and cleaning everything inside. but when i put it on i will need a new battery. i have a teeny one now and i dont thin that its enough for the 12.5 horse

| Bad alternator, Might have trained the battery Valves out of line, so the compression release isn't working. (If Applicable) Ground may not have a good connection Positive wire may not have a good connection
Im sure they are many more possibilities, but these are the only ones I though of so far....Instead of replacing it, I'd work on popping the head off and seeing if the cylinder walls are totaled, even if you have a spare engine.
